We couldn’t be happier that foreign tourists who have been fully vaccinated can enter the Philippines. Some tourists visit the Philippines each year, so choosing what to do cannot be easy. We’ve compiled a list of the top areas to see in the Philippines to help you explore it most enjoyably. This list will help you decide which areas you should visit. Let’s now get to the list and explore the various areas of the Philippines.
CORON
Banol Beach (also known as Banjul Beach) is a stunning sight with white sand and turquoise waters. It also boasts a wall of limestone cliffs. You can rent a kayak or relax in one of the nipa houses on the beach.
This is Coron’s most stunning major attraction! January to mid-June and October through December are the best months to visit. The waters are calmer for boat tours. While island-hopping in Coron, you’ll spend the entire day on a boat.
BOHOL
To travel up the Loboc River, you can rent your boat and skipper. Although you may join a bigger boat and have meals onboard, we wanted to travel on our boat.
While you are here, explore the Chocolate Hills (which were formed millions of years ago from dead coral). Hinagdanan Cave is a great place to visit. You can also rent a boat that will transport you to Balicasag, where you’ll see wild turtles and incredible coral.
CEBU
Cebu is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, thanks to its many beaches and diving spots. This is the perfect spot for water babies.
While you’re in Cebu, snorkeling with Whale Sharks is possible. Be mindful of who you book your excursion with. Some stories have claimed that the Whale Sharks get their food on these excursions. This indicates that Whale Sharks don’t leave the area (as they should) and therefore do not reproduce. This means that whale sharks will become more accustomed to human feeding, and their numbers will decline. This is something to keep in mind when traveling to other countries, as feeding animals could endanger the species’ long-term survival.
SIARGAO
Siargao Island boasts some of the most beautiful waves in the world. This is why surfing is so popular. You don’t have to be a surfer to enjoy the white sand beaches, coral flats, and other activities on the island. Siargao’s seafood, which is also world-class, makes it an ideal destination for anyone visiting the Philippines.
BORACAY
Although a small island in the Philippines, Boracay has rapidly become one of the most popular tourist destinations. To rehabilitate its infrastructure, the government closed Boracay to tourists in 2021. The island was reopened after a series of steps were taken to reduce tourist numbers. We fully support One Life Adventures.
Puka Beach is a must-see when you arrive. The beach’s name comes from the heavy use of crushed “puka”, shells, and the fine white sand. It measures approximately 800m in length and does not have any resorts or clubs. Anyone visiting Boracay for vacation should visit Puka Beach.
PORT BARTON
Port Barton, a quiet coastal town close to San Vicente, is ideal. It is a popular destination for backpackers and tourists who seek a tranquil rural setting. It is possible to explore several beautiful offshore islands and then travel to Long Beach in San Vicente Town Proper. This beach is the longest white sand beach in the Philippines. San Vicente/Port Barton can be found on Palawan’s mainland, between El Nido and Puerto Princesa.
PRIVATE ISLAND CAMP IN PALAWAN
One Life Adventures is a One Life Adventures exclusive location. Our Islander Experience will allow us to spend two days on an island experiencing the local way of life.
You will be able to board a local guide’s boat and explore the surrounding islands and Port Barton for two days. You can snorkel over coral reefs and alongside turtles or take a refreshing shower in the rainforest waterfalls. Or you can relax and enjoy the small islands. Everyone will enjoy spectacular sunsets from our tiny beach bar as they gather around the fire pit. Perfect! You don’t have to worry about what you eat, as our guides will prepare a delicious feast of grilled fish and pork, vegetables, and fruits. You will be sleeping in tents on the beach, under the stars, tonight in paradise.
EL NIDO
El Nido in Palawan province is the best place to visit the Philippines for its stunning beaches and beautiful island scenery. El Nido, Palawan province will not disappoint. El Nido in Palawan province is a popular destination for its stunning, clear and bright blue water. Imagine white sandy beaches and secret lagoons with towering limestone mountains surrounded by forests rising from the tropical waters. These views rival major Asian destinations like Thailand’s Phi Phi, Krabi Islands, and HaLong Bay in Vietnam.
Most travelers arrive in El Nido via a 1.5-hour flight to Manila from Puerto Princesa Airport (PPS) and then a 5- to 6-hour shuttle ride to El Nido.
