The Social Travel Summit in Belfast, Northern Ireland

Are you ready to attend STS – The Social Travel Summit?

Within a few weeks, delegates will be arriving in Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, for the fifth edition Social Travel Summit.

STS remains true to its motto: less is more. It’s all about quality and not quantity. However, the reach of attending bloggers will still be huge.

Social Travel Summit is a small conference with a high level of productivity. Everyone is important to STS.

This year, 130 delegates are expected to attend, with 54 of the most influential travel professionals from 17 countries.

The preparations are underway to make the STS conference program and fringe events the best yet.

This year’s main themes include growth marketing, demand generation and optimizing content marketing strategies.

We are looking forward to ‘Pulling Back the Curtain on Influencer marketing, which VisitBritain will hold. VisitBritain will be sharing their experiences and insights from many years working with influencers in this session.

We’re also launching a data project that tracks the consumer journey through travel blogs for one year.

The project will examine the consumer journey starting at the point they click on a blog post, their time spent on it, and their actions. This will understand the effect blogging has on travel consumers and conversions and bring insight to the collaboration process between a tourist board and content creators/influencers.

What to Expect from the Speakers at STS Belfast

Janice Waugh is STS Conference Director at the ambassador. She has been thinking a lot lately about growth marketing, goal setting and measuring results for continuous improvement.

These topics will be addressed by STS throughout the conference, starting with Jason Miller, a rock star content marketer who will deliver the opening keynote on Demand Generating Marketing. Jason will discuss attracting, nurturing, and converting travellers into customers and advocates for your website, blog, social media platforms, destination, product, and products. Jason is a global content marketing leader at LinkedIn and a rock ‘n roll photographer by night. Expect an entertaining and informative session.

Nick Westergaard will close STS. He will return to STS but in a very different role. He will help the Summit delegates focus on takeaways.

He will present the plan during the opening keynote and then visit his takeaways throughout the two days. He’ll host a Takeaway Workshop at the close of STS. He will help you get the most out of each session of Summit.

There are many other sessions in between.

Chris Marr is the founder and driving force behind Content Marketing Academy. He will discuss the strategic intersection between content, SEO, and revenue.

RazorSocial founder Ian Cleary will present the 5-step process to optimize content for outcomes.

Erik van Erp of Around the Globe will present setting goals, defining results, executing campaigns, and measuring them.

Dana DiTomaso is the President and Partner of Kick Point. She will show how to combine all the strategies, tactics, and tools into a realistic action program.

Dana will be presenting with Sorcha Mackenzie on realistic strategies to create a pay-to-play social world.

The peer-to-peer sessions for bloggers, industry and industry will return and the popular Think Tank that Peter Jordan facilitates.

Workshops will be offered for the industry on DMO management, Destination Marketing Beyond Europe and North America. There are sessions on other revenue streams for bloggers/influencers and how to get out from the trenches to hire the support you need to grow your publications.

STS places a high priority on networking!

After a long day of learning and collaboration, there will be more time to socialize, network, or relax with like-minded professionals in the evenings.

The Social Travel Summit is at the forefront of developing professional standards and provides a fun environment for gainful networking, in-depth learning, and socializing.

Information exchanges, collaborative discussion and access to top travel bloggers and influencers are all great benefits for delegates.
